MOLINA EIDERDOWN DUVET: PURITY AND WELLBEING

**Eiders** (Somateria Mollissima) are **wild animals** that live predominantly in Nordic regions. They seek nourishment in the shallow waters of the entire **Icelandic coast** and in spring return to nest in colonies. The eider carefully examines the nesting site, where females will cover the nest with the finest down, arranging it around the eggs to protect them from wind and cold. After the chicks are born, when the nesting sites are abandoned, authorized local farmers climb the cliffs and manually **collect the down clusters from the nests.** Immediately after collection, the down is dried at 110°C to disinfect it and facilitate cleaning. It is treated with **traditional methods** of cleaning, without the addition of chemical additives, maintaining intact the **natural properties** of the raw material. The excellent **thermal insulation**, **lightness** and **cohesiveness**, combined with the other properties of down, make **eiderdown** the most suitable product for filling **blankets, pillows, jackets** and other garments. Molina Eiderdown encompasses the extraordinary qualities derived from a **healthy** and **uncontaminated environment** and from **completely natural processing methods**, to create a product that no other can equal.
